"My two sons attended Olivette for 3 and 4 years, and it was truly a joy to watch them grow and thrive under the thoughtful guidance of Gretchen (and Charlie). Gretchen created a calm, nurturing environment that encouraged and supported each child’s unique strengths and personalities. She skillfully balanced individual exploration with the needs of the group, leading with a gentle, patient presence that fostered both confidence and cooperation.
Olivette's rich blend of artist studies, creative play, music and storytelling, science and nature exploration, and child-led discussions provided my children with an incredibly enriching and well-rounded experience. I would wholeheartedly choose Olivette again without hesitation—and would gladly send my children five days a week if I could!" Mandy K.

“Olivette has been the dearest addition to our family life! The true, beautiful things that we emphasize at home, we see tended carefully by Gretchen and her thoughtful, gifted presentation of the same has supported us as well as enhanced our own homeschooling journey. Gretchen’s creativity, delight, and insight run deep and has created an environment that gives our children the freedom to explore and enjoy the bounty she lays before them: a wonder-filled world to discover as well as their unique, called place within it.” Carolyn A.

“Gretchen has given to our children, as well as to my wife and me, two of the most precious and scarce commodities in the world: space and time. Her space she has furnished with all manner of inviting and wonderfully homely elements and then invites her students to call it their own to explore around, create in, make messes of, and find extreme joy throughout.
Her time she has given far beyond the weekly Olivette gatherings and it is evident: she spends generous amounts of time preparing for those meet ups, praying for her students and families, and seeking out educational opportunities to better prepare herself for blessing the hearts of children. All in all, Olivette feels like the closest place to Narnia this side of any wardrobe in our own world.” Sean A.
